V and I went on our first date in ages. We decided to "get away" and try out a new fondue restaurant that opened Wednesday near our house. I have always been partial to fondue. We left the kids with MIL and headed out. Little did we know that the couple next-door had the same idea we did tonight. They arrived at exactly the same moment we did, and waited for their table together with us. Of course we were seated in the same room with tables facing towards each other. So much for an escape! We ordered the special four course dinner and drinks. I had a pomegranate Cosmo which was tart and delicious (couldn't even taste the alcohol). We spend 2 1/2 hours at the restaurant cooking and eating two morsels of food at a time.
Kids found a friend
The kids found a stray "pet". Very friendly little fellow. Kept them busy at least half an hour. They were feeding him fresh lettuce and "caring for him" on the back patio.
N:"Can I pet him, Mom?"
Me: "No."
N:"Why? He doesn't bite."
Me:"How do you know?"
N: "Daddy told me. It was crawling up his leg."
Me:"I don't think so, you might hurt him."
N: "Daddy told me. It was crawling up his leg."
Me:"I don't think so, you might hurt him."
