Hello friends

Well, hello. It is Labor Day weekend, after all. Not expecting many people to be checking blogs. We had ourselves a little "birthday party" Friday night. It was V's birthday. I picked up a cake at the local grocery store. The checker asked A if she was having a birthday party. She said, "We're having a party for my daddy." I looked at the dried-up, cracked frosting on the cake and the cheesy HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles from the baking section of the store and added, "Yes, well, Daddy doesn't have the greatest birthdays these days." I forgot to get a card, but lucky for me, I needed to drop off a package at UPS store and they had cards there. Too bad A's sippy cup tipped over in the car and the card and envelope got soaked, the ink ran and everything was ruined. So we had to dry them out in the sun on the back patio in a big hurry before he got home. He didn't seem to mind. When we lit those cheesy HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles they melted so furiously fast, there was only two left burning by the time he blew them out! Then we had to peel thirteen little piles of wax off the cake before eating it!

Saturday I indulged myself to a Cookie Lee jewelry party. Got a little Christmas shopping done there, got to treat myself to some uninterrupted phone conversations on the (hour) drive up and back. When I got home I found out I'd been missing another party of sorts. A backyard party...

I cannot seem to stay awake anymore. Every night *it* hits me around 9:30, I just cannot keep my eyes open. I feel so fatigued. I mumble some excuse and stumble upstairs (hoping he won't notice)...forget the blog, forget the bills, forget the movie I rented, forget packing lunches, forget washing my face, I just can't do it. Tomorrow, maybe. Oops, come to think of it, it is that time again, and yes, I feel like a two-year old without a nap all day. I have no explanation other than maybe the sinus infection, or my RA, or the traveling, or who knows?... At least my neck finally got better!
Well, ttfn, I need to save at least enough energy to drag myself up the stairs yet again.
