Weekly Review....

It's been so long since my last post. My wrist pain has been so bad this week, and it is especially painful to type, which is one reason why I haven't. My fingers are tingling already. Well, where to start. We've been catching up with friends all week. Monday we made the hour long trip south to visit friends. I met Lisa when we were both pregnant with our first, way back when our dogs were still our babies. We even got together for dog playdates. I met Tanya (and daughter Myra) not long after, when Lisa started up a mommy and me playgroup for all the lonely new moms in her neighborhood. She invited me and we all hit it off, a group of about eight to ten moms. We rotated hosting playgroups at our homes each month, went on outings, and every month of so we would plan a mommy's night out. These ladies helped me keep my sanity in those early days of motherhood. Anyhow, it's nice to get together and catch up and sometimes reminisce about the old times. The kids went bowling again, then we went to the beach to dip our toes in the water (some of us dipping more than that). Never trust a kid around water, in otherwords, always bring a change of clothes.
Tuesday I took the kids to the free Family Film Festival again. This time we saw Doogal. Of course, the kids liked it. Have they ever not liked a movie? A is still talking about the Care Bear Movie we saw weeks ago. Then in the afternoon our neighbors came over to play while the mommies caught up. They have been away visiting family in Washington all summer, enjoying the cool weather. Tuesday my father had a coronary angioplasty. He stayed overnight in the hospital and went home the next day. He said the cardiologist told him his R Anterior Coronary Artery had 3 blockages in it, one of them 100%. They placed a stent at this spot. I'm so thankful he made it through ok.

Wednesday before E's Gymnastics I tried to do a little school shopping. I got a few things from Children's Place and Kohls. We tried to shop at Gap, but they didn't have anything N liked in his size. A was terrible at the stores, dragging her feet, whining "I'm huuungrry!" I think she needed a nap something awful. So I came home to try and make the order online and couldn't. Either my computer, or their website were acting up. After spending at least an hour trying to select items, I gave up!

Today I took N and E to Mobile Activity Recreation Services (MARS) for water play day. E's friend met us there. I left the big kids there while A had her dance class (they dressed as Belle). Then we went over to Hannah's house for PB&J and swimming at their pool. My kids just love swimming!
