The one in front is winning....
Yummy, love those smoothies...Magic Bullet, a lot of hype
Today the kids had sunrise snail races, smoothies (yummy ones made with lemon yogurt and frozen raspberries), then swim lessons, followed by spaghettios, and safety town.
Safety town is a program put on by the local rotary club aimed at 5-9 year olds. It meets for 2 hrs every afternoon this week. They cover all the major safety issues affecting kids. Today the kids got to climb in police cars and ambulances and meet the staff, learn about calling 911, and gun safety.
We had more blueberries today at breakfast and snacktime. I looked and these were from Visalia, CA (another place we used to live next to). What a coincidence!
A used the potty chair all day today, and had two accidents (both major and messy). This evening she pooped in the potty, asked me to take a picture of it, and told me "Now I can go to Hannah's house." I said, "No, not until you are using the potty all the time with no accidents." Over the last few weeks, I have promised her a party complete with cake, a trip to Bounce U, preschool at Ms. Mindy's, playing at Hannah's house, candy, stickers and I don't know what else, if she will just learn to use the potty. I don't know why it is taking so long. She is so stubborn!
For dinner V was working late, and I was lazy, so I dug through the freezer and heated up frozen fish sticks, french fries and okra. The kids dipped the fish sticks and french fries in ketchup "Mmm, this is so good!". N had 4 helpings. Hey, they really like it when I don't cook! Afterwards we baked some Nestle Toll House cookies and decorated them with M&Ms. They licked the beaters, spoons and bowl. I made the kids take showers, and clean up all the toys before they could eat their (baked) cookie. N took about a bite of his and said he couldn't eat it because he was too full from dinner.
Last batch of cookies, ready to go in the oven
Now everyone has been read to, tucked in, prayed with, and kissed. Now they are all asleep and here I sit....
