Lazy holiday

Bet you're wondering how we spent our Independence Day? At the Independence day parade? No. At the Sports Park fireworks show? No. Well, it was quite nice, actually. After V took his mother to the airport this morning to catch her flight home, we spent the entire day indoors! And with all the blinds closed to keep out the heat. I didn't do a thing, except make dinner (spaghetti). I read my library book, played on the computer, played with the kids and even took a (5 minute) nap. No work today. I took a real holiday. There was early talk of renting movies or going to the movie theater, but it didn't happen. V did some yardwork and captured another black widow spider in the yard (so much for the pest-control service). Now the kids and their daddy are outside sitting on lawn chairs watching fireworks from our back yard. I can hear them clapping and cooing-"boom...oohh, crack...ahhh..." And we didn't even have to leave our house! We sure are easy to please!

Tomorrow it's back to work...
