Reunion at the airport
Our Disney outing; Walt and Mickey in the background
"St. Nickopooh" with the kids
My sister has arrived. She brought her new baby and "tween" son from Pennsylvania. It was the baby's first airplane ride. Sunday we took a day trip to Disneyland for the baby's first trip to a theme park, first ride and first "character" encounter. Lots of fun and lots of photo ops. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. The valley was super smoggy from all the fires. We drove on the 91 past the burn. I didn't see any damaged homes, but I know they were there.
The plan was for everyone to go to the park, but that morning E started complaining of a "stomach-ache". I took her upstairs to get her ready for Disney and she started looking "green". So, we sprinted to the bathroom, where she spilled her stomach contents. After that, I decided it was best she didn't go to Disney with us, so her dad and she stayed home to clean up four more "expulsions". The rest of us returned home that night to find a feverish girl amidst an emesis-splattered bathroom. The next day we took the day off and recovered from our trip. And waited for E to recover from her ordeal.
Tuesday we decided to try out the family fun center. It was $12 Tuesday. No more video arcade, if there ever is a next time. The boys played every violent shoot-em-up game available, the girls were too short to see the screens or reach the pedals. My sister and I had to split up (hence no pictures of the boys), so I could take the girls out to the "kiddie corral" for some more age appropriate rides. She got to stay inside the loud video arcade with the young (and virgin) ears of my nephew. We (adults) could only take two-and-a-half hours of that place. The kids were so disappointed to leave!
"If you wanna ride, don't ride the white horse"
The "Kangaroo" was E's favorite ride there
