This morning I made myself a half pot of coffee (I know, a bit excessive) and finally got those floors scrubbed with my Hoover Floormate. Scrub, sip, scrub, scrub, sip...anyone? Meanwhile the TV was on full blast in the background while I tried to watch a PBS special with Suze Orman talking about the 8 qualities of a wealthy woman (so that's what the problem is).
Guess I'll have to work on those qualities!
This afternoon the children and I loaded up into our minivan and headed for the sports park. N played his third "round robin" game-Athletics against the Angles. Who would have thought the kid who played ball last spring and had to hit off a tee nearly every time, would be drafted to a winning team and actually hold his own a year later? I'm not kidding, last year he stood clueless in the outfield praying the ball wouldn't come his way, and now he rotates between short-stop and third baseman. Today I was enjoying the game when all the sudden, after the fourth inning, everybody gets up and starts packing to go. Game over! Whoa, wait a minute? Game over? Did I miss something? Well, it seems after the fourth inning, if one team is ahead by 10 points they stop the game -seeing as we were winning 13-0 it was over. Next game is an elimination game. And I didn't even have to bribe him to hit the ball...
Speaking of bribery, my sister and I have had some ongoing conversations about Yummy Earth http://www.yummyearth.com/ lollipops, how she heard about them on one of her mommy sites, and thought of me and my kids (and obviously my parenting techniques). Check out the recipe for a lollipoptail on their site. Marci kindly decided to order them and agreed to write a review of them for me..
Yummy Earth Lollipops
"First off can I just say what a perfect name to describe what my mouth experienced when I popped my first Yummy Earth Lollipop in it. All I could think was YUMMY! I could suck on these things all day long, which wouldn’t be a good thing since I purchased them to help with my never ending fight to lose the baby weight I so easily put on, but can’t seem to take off.
I started with a Pomegranate Pucker lollipop. Wow! Then I moved on to a Mango Tango pop. Amazing! My son Elijah tried the Very Very Cherry (not too exciting, but good none the less), than the Tooberry Blueberry. Blueberries are Elijah’s favorite food so I trust his judgement when he excitedly said "I love it! It tastes just like blueberries". Well they should since not only are they organic but they are made with real fruit extracts and no artificial dyes or flavors. Two thumbs up Yummy Earth!! We will be enjoying your pops for along time to come. "
